After lunch I worked a crossword puzzle. I then closed my eyes and felt the silence. And in that moment I had an epiphany. Conscious silence is a prayer!
I do this off and on all day every day. And sometimes I think I have to make an affirmation or remember a simple line of wisdom. But now I see that that those words are just fillers.
You know how they say that foods that are not very good for you have fillers? I think words are the same way when it comes to resting in the Presence.
I have worked the prayer system to no avail. I have used my intellect to try and transcend my ego. It doesn’t work. There is no man in the sky that listens to you as you pray.
Every great master has known that in the end, everything falls silent. Why can’t we? The answer is that we are taught that words have a very great use in the educational systems of the world. I made A’s in school so I would make my parents proud. I loved using words because I was so good at it.
Online gurus proliferate and there are buzz words that they use. They take new names because they sound mysterious. But in the end, only silence remains.
Conscious silence enables you to listen to the absolute music of the spheres.
Try it; you’ll like it.

Brilliant insight — that came from the silence! I am also too in love with the sound of my inner voice…
Thanks, Mike.
