How to Achieve the Truth

I was the first person on my hairdresser’s appointment book today, August 2. I told her to cut my hair short enough that I could go 8 weeks without coming in. Wow. Not too flattering! But my new mantra is “I accept myself so that I can reap the benefits of this statement:

“There is no weapon more powerful in achieving the truth than acceptance of oneself.”~ “Buddha’s Little Book of Life”

So my haircut does not flatter me? I accept myself so that I may achieve the truth.

I didn’t talk much to Win as she cut my hair. She is from Viet Nam, so her family has been through “stuff” before. As I left, her next appointment was standing outside, which was a nice gesture.

I am home now and enjoying a cup of coffee. Yum.

Confession Time: I have let Donald J. Trump upset me a million times. To achieve the truth, I must accept, not him but me.

How is this gonna work? I will have to read the statement a million times, I suppose.

The truth always wins and so self-acceptance always wins.

I will read the Sunday paper and then have a light lunch. I am grateful to you, my readers. I am grateful to be alive and grateful to have a way of achieving the truth.
