Yada Yada Yada….

“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”
― Carl R. Rogers

I still listen to the voice in my head. I call it my mind. Actually it is piped-in from below the conscious level. There is no hint of awareness in it. It is stale recycled news. And I pay through the nose for it. I pay with my emotions. Apparently I never run of of hard cold emotions when it comes to judging myself.

“You should, you shouldn’t. You could. You didn’t.” Blah blah blah blah blah.

And then the media employees are cut checks to tell us the same old same old. “Time to reinvent yourself. Listen to Dr. Phil, Dr. Oz, Dr. Ruth…well, maybe not her. She’s probably dead. But you get the point.

Self-improvement is the oldest wrinkle on the planet. There is probably a missing stone tablet that says “Thou shalt not quit trying harder.” That commandment is like trying to pass a kidney stone it is so painful.

Yeah, I have got my tongue firmly-in-cheek because my butt isn’t. It is all melting and running down the backs of my legs, as my mother used to say.

We are so busy toning that we have no time to atone.

Instead of stone tablets we have well, you know, “tablets.” Like you use to initialize contact with other morons, I mean Friends.

These Friends are brought to us courtesy of Facebook, which is a business. Heck, I could write a few new commandments for today’s day and age. “Thou shalt not argue among yourself.” Yup. I said it. All of the YouTube gurus speak of oneness and are in a race to become top of the heap by spitting out concepts like watermelon seeds. “We are all one. We are all one. We are all….except when it comes to the number of Friends you are limited to before you have to get a special page for your overload of Friends. Do you feel special yet?

I am getting off-topic, but I am known for that. I think Selsun-Blue helps if you have that problem, or is that for something else?

So where was I in this runt of a rant? Somebody remind me. Oh, yes, I was saying that I still listen to the voice in my head. It wants some Raisinettes and a large soft drink….

Catch ya on the flip side….

The Hive Mind drones away in the background and we all tune in and out, even (or maybe especially) the YouTube Gurus. It’s ongoing. And “I” is a given.

Yesterday, Mary Hunt gave Joel Goldsmith’s teachings (apart from the Principles) in one sentence: “Thank you Father, I Am.”
