Rollercoaster…whee!

Rollercoaster….whee!

Here is a photo of me after lunch at O.K. Cafe. I didn’t know that it was named after a cafe in “To Kill a Mockingbird.” Rob had a veggie burger and fries and I had a chicken sandwich with fries. I hadn’t been there in a long time and the waitresses were so friendly. I have a deep gratitude for my life that I haven’t felt in a long time.

This morning I took the RX for my new glasses to my old eye doctor’s office to have it checked. The man who took care of me said the reading part was too low and they should be reground. He adjusted them as much as he could but said they were still wrong.

We drove to the office where I had ordered the glasses. It is on the same floor as the doctor who did my surgery. “What do you think of the glasses I ordered here?” I asked the eyewear guy. Another person in the department had helped me. “Well, he said, “ I think you should have a little color.”

I asked him to show me some frames since the lenses were going to be changed out. I ended up going with a similar-looking pair but with red on top. “My wife and I both wear this frame brand,” he said. And turns out they were a hundred dollars cheaper.

After that we went to the drugstore where I bought a cheap pair of readers and then it was on to the O.K. for lunch.

I am one lucky person. My son and I are getting along well. My health is good and all I can say is thank you to the universe.

When my new glasses arrive, I will put up a photo of me with a frame that “pops” a bit more than these. In the meantime, I remain your “popless” friend….
