  1. I loved gathering energy with you, Vicki, even for a moment. You speak such truth about the bits of peace through the day, trying to stay on the path. I know that every single minute of every day I must work at not allowing my thoughts to be my reality. Even the second that I think, “I’m trying to stay on the path.” I wind up falling off the path because I’ve brought myself back into my thoughts. But, those seconds and moments of peace are so very worth the work! As always, as you know, my bits of peace come from my cats and any animal I come in contact with. Those tiny moments of connection – such a joy when my thoughts are suspended and I am present with creatures who stay only in the moment their entire lives. I also loved what you said about “cussing and prayers.” Gosh, do you have a camera in our house? I am cursing like a sailor one minute and praying the next. Up and down, up and down, but at least now I am aware of what it feels like to be “up” and can more easily slip into that space. Thank you for your beautiful sharing.

    1. Yes, it is a mighty battle that few want to be involved in. If we don’t, we are totally asleep and live life in our heads.
Suffering is involved in thought; and to leave thought even for a moment, is to leave suffering.
