Peter stood bigger than the sky in his spirit.
He had broken the ties to earth
and moved into the heart.
There he gave ceaselessly
until he became dust under
the eternal guru’s feet.

I feel his presence
as a grin and a wink.
As if to say, “You’re
far wiser than you think.
